STELLA'S TOMB RAIDER 2 REMASTERED WALKTHROUGH

LOOKING FOR DARK MODE?

The TR2 Remastered guide is now complete. For the guides that have not yet been updated, I will continue to link to the ORIGINAL WALKTHROUGHS, which cover all the basics. Please check the introductory notes at the start of the first level for info on my process, modern vs. classic tank controls, etc. This guide covers most but not all possible achievements/trophies. Follow this link for the archived classic guide.

LEVEL 11: TIBETAN FOOTHILLS (Remaster)

Updated: 8/1/26()

Pickups: 31, including 2 keys and 3 secrets
Kills: 33

NOTES: The number of pickups includes the three dragon statuettes and the bonus items awarded for finding all three secrets.

I've also done a separate guide without snowmobiles: "Tibet on Foot: A Walking Tour." Aside from being a fun way to replay the level once you've beaten it in the usual way, it could come in handy if you lose your snowmobile, or if you're attempting the "Eco-Friendly" achievement/trophy. "The Tibetan Express" achievement/trophy (below) requires the snowmobile. So, if you're going for all achievements, you can do two separate playthroughs, or save the game before getting on the snowmobile. Use it to unlock "Tibetan Express, then reload, and play the rest of the level entirely on foot. For the "Very Hard Boiled" (pistols only) achievement/trophy, take extra care not to kill any enemies with the snowmobile. You can, of course, combine this with "Eco-Friendly."

Tibetan Foothills Video Walkthrough | "Eco Friendly" Video Walkthrough (by Eldincy)

OBJECTIVES: Cross the canyon to the hut, where you'll find a snowmobile. Ride it through the caves and canyons. On the way, locate the Drawbridge Key. When you come to the open area with the drawbridge, use the key to raise the bridge. Then cross the bridge and trigger an avalanche that will reveal the Hut Key. Return to the hut near the start of the level. Go inside and use the switch there to open the gate leading to the end of the level.

CANYON WITH ROLLING SNOWBALLS: Ready pistols as you slide into the level. Shoot a vulture (1) that approaches from the right. Then follow the rocky path up and around to a drop-off. Below is a steep, narrow canyon with snowballs at the top. Slide into the canyon and start running forward. Stay near the middle of the slope and stop when you reach the flat spot near the ice window on the left. Wait for the first wave of snowballs to approach. Then take a standing jump between them as they pass. Lara should take no damage if you time it right. Continue running up the slope and into the alcove on the left to avoid the second wave. (screenshots)

Or, instead of sliding into the canyon, jump and grab the flat section of the right right wall. Traverse to the left as far as possible. This will trigger the first wave of snowballs. As they roll down the hill and settle below, traverse back to the right, drop onto the slope, and slide into the canyon. Then run up the hill into the alcove on the left to avoid the second avalanche. (screenshots)

When the coast is clear, return downhill to the semi-transparent ice window, now on the right. Use your pistols to shatter it and step inside. Kill the snow leopard (2) lurking there to unlock the "Who's the Cat and Who's the Mouse" achievement/trophy. Then pick up 2 sets of automatic pistol clips (1-2) at the end of the tunnel. Return outside, continue to the top of the hill, and climb into the cave. (screenshots)

CAVES AND ICE WALL: Follow the tunnel to a larger wall of ice with a deep chasm below. To unlock the "Tibetan Osteopathy" achievement/trophy, you must "break the ice wall with your back and survive." Start by walking to the top right corner of of the ramp overlooking the chasm. Turn around so Lara's back is toward the ice wall and save the game. Backflip into the ice wall to smash through it. Slide down the icy slope beyond. A bit more than halfway down the slope, press Jump + Roll to spring off the slope and somersault in the air, then hold Action to grab the climbable wall on the other side of the deep pit. Climb upward then right until you can drop down in the doorway. The achievement/trophy should unlock here. (screenshots)

If you don't care about achievements, instead take a running jump off the ramp, crash through the ice wall, slide briefly, then jump across the deep pit and grab onto the climbable wall. Climb upward then right until you can drop down in the doorway. (screenshots)

LAKE AND SURROUNDING CAVES: Follow the tunnel to emerge on a snowy ledge high above a small mountain lake. Watch and listen for 2 vultures (3-4). They may attack right away or approach later as you explore. There's hut and snowmobile in the distance. That's where you're headed. (screenshots)

NOTES: You can take a shortcut to the hut without missing any pickups. You will miss one kill, a vulture, and the achievement/trophy introduced below. Details are in a footnote. If you fall in the pool and don't want to reload, there's a small ledge where you can climb out of the water and use an ice ladder to get back to the ledge below the tunnel entrance. (screenshot) From there, you can take the shortcut or the longer route.

If you prefer the longer route, turn around and safety drop from the snowy ledge onto the slope below, slide back, and grab the edge. Then let go and land on the flat ledge below. Enter the tunnel ahead. (screenshots)

Continue to a hole with water below and icicles on the ceiling (1-3/19) beyond. For the "Public Service" achievement/trophy, you'll need to "drop all the icicles in the Tibetan levels without being hurt." So, walk to the edge of the hole, hop back once, then jump forward and grab the top of the icy ledge. (Or, drop into the water and climb the ice ladder from below.) Pull up onto the ledge but don't step forward until the icicles have fallen; otherwise Lara will be impaled. (screenshots)

NOTE: Each tile with icicles counts as one trap. There are 19 icicle traps in all—8 in this level, 7 in CATACOMBS OF THE TALION, and 4 in the ICE PALACE. You just cleared the first three.

Jump over the fallen icicles and follow the tunnel to another opening above the lake. Turn right. Then climb the rocks to the opening above on the left. Enter and pull up onto the ledge on the left. Here you'll find two openings: one above, one below. The upper passage brings you to a dead end, where you can see but not reach the Silver Dragon behind the bars. Instead, drop down through the lower opening. Slide down into a cave with a shallow pool and more icicles (4-7/19) on the ceiling. Save the game. Then wade slowly through the pool, stepping on an outer corner of each tile with icicles above, to trip them one at a time, without injury. When you've set off all four traps, continue through the cave to emerge on another ledge above the lake. (screenshots)

Turn to look out across the pool. Another vulture (5) will try and interfere. If you can't target it right away, just watch out for it as you go. To reach the large medi pack (3) on the ledge ahead, take a running jump to the nearly flat block against the left cliff wall, then another running jump to the block with the medi pack. Face the cliff wall and then jump over to the ledge ahead on the left. Climb the snowy ledges to the top of the canyon. (screenshots)

HUT AND SNOWMOBILE: Take out the 2 guys with guns (6-7) guarding the hut. Steal their large medi pack (4) and 2 sets of automatic pistol clips (5-6). Then retrieve SECRET #1, the Silver Dragon (7), sitting on the ground in front of the barred opening off to the right of the HUT. (screenshots)

The HUT is locked, and the tunnel on the right is blocked by a wooden gate, so you can't do anything else here yet. Commandeer the snowmobile, make a U-turn, and drive into the cave on the other side of the hut. Just after the tunnel takes a turn to the right, a gunman (8) gets in your way. Again, if you're after the "Very Hard Boiled" achievement/trophy (pistols only), dismount and shoot him. Otherwise, just run him over. Then stop and pick up his shotgun shells (8). Return to the snowmobile and ride on to the next open area. (screenshots)

NOTE: The snowmobile controls are listed on the TR2 Controls page in case you need them. Remember to press Action for a turbo boost to clear larger gaps.

OPEN AREA WITH RAMPS AND LEDGES: At the far end of this clearing is a raised opening with 2 large blocks of ice. If you want the "Tibetan Express" achievement/trophy, do not move these blocks. The goal is to "slip next to the two blocks on the snowmobile." First, you'll need to maneuver the snowmobile onto the long, jagged ledge leading up to the two ice blocks. To do this, you can use a tricky shortcut or a longer route around the edge of the clearing. (screenshots)

First, the shortcut: Move the snowmobile into position at the base of the ramp in the middle of the clearing. The tunnel where you entered this area will be on Lara's right, the ice blocks on her left. Save the game. Then if you miss the first jump, you can reload and try again. Press Forward + Action for a turbo boost as you ride up the ramp diagonally from the lower left to the upper right so you take off at the top right corner. Steer just a little to the right while in the air to land on the next ledge facing the right cave wall. Then drive forward into the wall to avoid slipping off the other side of the ledge into the trench. Once you've landed safely, save again. (Skip the next paragraph.) (screenshots)

Or, use this longer route instead: Start in the same position as for the shortcut: facing the ramp in the middle of the clearing with the entrance on Lara's right, the ice blocks on her left. Drive straight up the ramp, holding Action for a speed boost to jump over the jagged ledge and land in the little cave on the other side. Drive along the trench beside the jagged ledge toward the tunnel with the ice blocks. When you reach the corner, turn left and position the snowmobile squarely facing the snowy ramp ahead. (Save the game here and again each time you make a successful jump. Then if you crash, you can reload and not have to start over from the first ramp.) Use turbo (Action) to race up the ramp, jump the gap, and land on the next ledge. Briefly press reverse as you land, so you don't slide off the other side of the ledge. Now turn left and race the snowmobile along the next narrow ledge. Again, hold Action to clear the gap. On the other side, briefly reverse to avoid crashing into the wall. Turn left again and use turbo to jump the wide gap in front of the entrance. When you land on the next ledge, press reverse to brake or steer into the right wall so you don't slide off the other side of the ledge. (screenshots)

Now for the final jump. Carefully maneuver the snowmobile so it's facing the tunnel opening with the 2 ice blocks. Save again. Now, race forward along the jagged ledge, staying slightly left of center and holding Action for a speed boost to clear the gap in the ledge. Race up the ramp at the end, and steer very slightly left to sail through the opening next to the left block. The achievement/trophy should pop just beyond the ice blocks. (screenshots)

If you want all kills, dismount and run back toward the ice blocks. Equip the shotgun and step into the doorway on the right. Roll, run back into the wide passageway, and shoot 2 snow leopards (9-10) that charge from the left. (They can leap onto the ice blocks, so Lara won't be safe there.) (screenshots)

NOTE: If you don't care about achievements/trophies, or already have this one, it's is easier if you move at least one of the ice blocks before jumping the snowmobile into the tunnel. Details are in another footnote.

CAVES AND NARROW ICE BRIDGE: Get back on the snowmobile and continue through the tunnel. Jump the next large gap using the ramps on the left. Proceed to a chasm with ledges on both sides and a stone column in the middle. You can't see it from the entrance, but there's a gate blocking the passage to the left. For now, either leave the snowmobile here and go on foot, or drive carefully along the narrow ledge on the right side of the chasm into a small room where you can park and dismount. Pick up 2 pairs of grenades (9-10) lying on the ground. Then climb the ice ladder. At the top, pull the switch to open the gate mentioned earlier. (screenshots)

Two bad guys with guns (11-12) appear outside. Climb back down the ladder and shoot the first enemy across the chasm. Then either follow the ledge back along the chasm to target the second enemy, or get on the snowmobile, drive back along the ledge, and run him over. Dismount and pick up the M16 clips (11) he dropped. Then get back on the snowmobile and follow the ledge along the other side of the chasm, jumping the gap halfway along. Stop to pick up the other enemy's small medi pack (12). Then continue through the gate you just opened. (screenshots)

Drive on, down a slope and up the other side, then across a narrow ice bridge. Mow down the bad guy (13) who stands in your way and his 2 buddies (14-15) in the cave ahead. They don't drop anything. Continue to the next open area and stop the snowmobile before the wide gap. (screenshots)

CANYON WITH TWO RAMPS (THE BIG GAP): SECRET #2, the Jade Dragon (13), is sitting on a ledge to the right, just beyond the mouth of the cave. Take a running jump to land on that ledge. When you approach the dragon, 2 leopards (16-17) appear on the ramp where you left the snowmobile. You may be able to shoot them across the gap, before or after grabbing the dragon. If they retreat into the cave, jump back across to get their attention. Just be careful not to fall into the canyon as you fight. (screenshots)

NOTE: There are some grenades in a shallow pit on the floor of the canyon. Ignore them for now.

Get back on the snowmobile, face the ramp leading up to the wide gap above the canyon and gun the engines. This time, you'll definitely need the turbo boost (Forward + Action) to get across. (screenshots)

DRAWBRIDGE KEY: On the other side of the gap, ignore the ice ladders leading down to the canyon floor. Get off the snowmobile and enter the cave on foot. Walk out along the edge of the next chasm to trigger the avalanche. Jump onto the slope where the snowballs just passed, slide back, and grab the edge. More snowballs will roll past on your left. Climb down the ice ladder to the top of the opening in the wall. Let go then press Action again to grab the ledge below. Climb into the cave and take the DRAWBRIDGE KEY (14). (screenshots)

Drop through the hole in the floor and follow the tunnel to a thin wall of ice. Draw weapons and Lara will automatically target the gunman (18) on the other side. Take care of him and continue up the slope to the next room. Walk cautiously forward to trip the icicle trap (8/19 for the "Public Service" achievement/trophy). Then jump over the icicles and pull the switch to open the gate above. Go through the gate to emerge in the canyon where you made the long snowmobile jump earlier. (screenshots)

AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CANYON: Climb down and cross the canyon floor to the opposite corner. Drop into the shallow pit to find 2 pairs of grenades (15-16). (This pit is directly below the ledge where you found the Jade Dragon earlier. If you missed it before, you can climb the ice ladder to reach it or get it later on the way back.) When you drop into the pit, 3 leopards (19-21) start prowling the canyon floor. If you like, you can kill them with pistols from inside the pit by jumping in place while firing. Or, climb up, fire away, then hop back into the pit when they approach. (screenshots)

Cross the canyon again and climb the ice ladder next to the opening where you came in. Climb onto the ledge at the top of the ladder. Then hop down on the right near your snowmobile. (screenshots)

CONTINUING THROUGH THE CAVES: Drive the snowmobile into the cave with the wide, white slope. Race along the right side of the pit, using turbo to keep from sliding off the edge and avoid the remaining snowballs. Continue through the low-ceilinged tunnel to a large cavern with a frozen pool in the middle of the floor. (screenshots)

NOTE: In the low-ceilinged area, there's a wooden gate and a switch to open it. (screenshot) This tunnel leads back to the pit where you dodged the snowballs. I mention it to be thorough, but you won't need to use it if you follow this guide. It does feature in the "Tibet on Foot" walkthrough.

RASING THE DRAWBRIDGE AND OBTAINING THE HUT KEY: There's a key under the ice, but you can't reach it yet. Use the DRAWBRIDGE KEY in the lock at the base of the drawbridge to raise it. (screenshots)

NOTE: If you missed the DRAWBRIDGE KEY, details on backtracking are in a footnote.

Head up the ramp and cross the bridge either on foot or by snowmobile. Turn left and cross the ledge beyond the little "Avalanche" pictogram sign, moving quickly to avoid the avalanche. If you go on foot, keep moving, using running jumps to cover ground faster. Then pause just before you reach the doorway and wait for the last snowballs to settle. (screenshots)

As you enter the snowy cave ahead, the screen shakes as the snow tumbles down, blocking the opening behind you. Continue to a deep pit. If you drove the snowmobile this far, be sure to drive it out along the right edge of the pit. If you leave it here, you won't be able to reach it later. (See the note below.) If you came on foot, jump onto the sloping ledge on the left side of the pit, slide back, and grab the edge. Then traverse across the pit to the other side. Drive or run down the slope on the left to emerge near the DRAWBRIDGE. (screenshots)

At the base of the huge snowbank is the HUT KEY (17). Save the game before approaching it. When you do, a baddie on a snowmobile (22) with mounted guns enters through the opening between the drawbridge supports. Either shoot him while dodging like mad, or climb onto the snowbank to the right of the key and shoot at him from there. Just be sure to stand toward the front of the snowbank where it comes to a little point. He can drive over the snow behind Lara, and he can still shoot at her, but he'll almost never run her over. Either way, you'll want to use powerful weapons, like the Uzis or M16, to kill him before he kills Lara. (screenshots)

Afterward, pick up the key and get on your original red snowmobile. The bad guy's ride is very cool with its guns and all, but it doesn't have the turbo feature. (screenshots)

NOTES: If you're low on ammo, try this alternative strategy for the snowmobile enemy. Park the red snowmobile near the key, facing the exit. Then pick up the key, run to the snowmobile, and speed away before the nasty man can get a lock on Lara. Keep going until you clear the big jump over the canyon. He can't follow on his heavy machine. (screenshot)

If you lose the red snowmobile and don't have a recent save where you still have it, you're not stuck. Just follow the "Tibet on Foot" guide from here.

BACK TO THE HUT: From the DRAWBRIDGE area, drive through the tunnel with the low ceiling and around the rim of the chasm where you found the DRAWBRIDGE KEY. Then activate turbo (Action) and use the ramps to make the big jump back across the canyon. (If you missed the Jade Dragon or the grenades (15-16) in the pit on the canyon floor, you can get them now. See above.) (screenshots)

Continue through the caves and over the narrow ice bridge. At the top of the next hill go through the open wooden gate and turn right. Proceed along the right side of the next chasm, jumping the gap halfway along. When you come to the next wide gap, be sure to use turbo and jump it on the left side. You'll soon come to the opening with the 2 huge ice blocks. If you left them in place for the achievement, be sure to pass them on the left side. Otherwise Lara is likely to crash and burn. (screenshots)

NOTE: If you avoided the 2 snow leopards (9-10) here earlier, they won't bother you now, as long as you stay out of the passageway on the right. If you want to spawn and kill them. Just step into that doorway, roll, run back into the wide passageway, and shoot them as they charge from the left. (They can leap onto the ice blocks, so Lara won't be safe there.)

Continue across the OPEN AREA WITH RAMPS AND LEDGES and exit on the far side. Just around the next corner, a low ledge prevents you from driving any farther. Dismount here and shoot the 2 leopards (23-24) above. They won't come down off the ledge. So you can climb up to get their attention and then hop back down and fire from below. Continue through the tunnel on foot. (screenshots)

NOTE: After the Challenge Mode update, I encountered a bug in which these 2 leopards didn't appear. Fortunately there's no achievement/trophy for all kills, so not a huge deal. Just figured I'd mention it.

Back at the HUT, use the HUT KEY to unlock the door. Enter and take the 2 small medi packs, 2 sets of Uzi clips, and 2 sets of M16 clips (18-23) lying on the floor. Then pull the switch in the back right corner. This opens the wooden gate outside. Three thugs with guns (25-27) rush out. Quickly roll and run outside so they don't corner you. I found it helped to run out then to the right. Roll, lock on, and flip side to side while firing. Just don't forget to release and re-press Action when one guy falls so Lara will target the next. Afterwards, take their large medi pack, Uzi clips, and auto pistol clips (24-26). (screenshots)

NOTE: If you missed the Silver Dragon earlier, don't forget to pick it up now. (screenshot)

CAVE WITH SNOWY PILLAR: Proceed through the wooden gate you just opened. Continue to a hexagonal opening overlooking a large cave with a snow-covered pillar in the middle. When you drop down to the floor, another guy on a snowmobile (28) spawns in the near left corner. Shoot him while dodging or immediately climb on top of the snowy pillar. The snowmobiler can still shoot Lara up there, but he can't run her over. Afterwards, you can steal his snowmobile or continue on foot. (screenshots)

Follow the tunnel to the edge of another deep pit. From the rim you can see something shiny below. Save the game before starting across. Then, drive the snowmobile along the left side of the pit. Or, to cross on foot, stand at the edge of the pit facing the left wall and touching it. Hop back once and then turn just slightly to the right. Jump and grab the snowy ledge just beyond the edge of the pit. (If you try to grab much farther out, Lara will miss and fall.) Traverse across the pit and drop down on the other side. Now climb to the bottom of the ice ladder and let go. As soon as you drop to the ground, jump to the left to avoid the rolling snowballs. Wait for a sneaky second wave of snowballs to pass before picking up SECRET #3, the Gold Dragon (27), along with 4 sets of Uzi clips (28-31) if you've found all three secrets. Stand beneath the ice ladder, jump straight up to grab it, and climb out of the pit. (screenshots)

OPEN AREA WITH SNOWMOBILERS: Continue to the end of the tunnel. There are 2 more snowmobilers (29-30) lurking at the bottom of the hill. Immediately climb on the rock wall to the right and shoot them from above. (The M16 works nicely for distant targets, but you can also take your time and use pistols. Just back away from the edge when they drive by with guns blazing.) Or, if you still have the black snowmobile, you can use it to chase and shoot them down. Just point the nose of the snowmobile in their general direction and press Action to fire. (screenshots)

CAVERN WITH POOL AND EXIT TUNNEL: Proceed to the bottom of the hill, where you'll find a block of ice set into the wall behind the wide column. Push it twice. (screenshots)

If you don't care about getting all the kills, you can use a little trick when entering the next cavern. The next 3 enemies only spawn if you push the ice block a third time, jump on top of it, or jump through the V-shaped gap to the right of it. If you only push the block twice, jump onto the slope to the left of it, then go around it instead of over it, these enemies don't appear. (screenshots)

If you do want all kills, either push the block a third time, climb over it, or jump through the V-shaped gap on the right. Two thugs with guns (31-32) then appear inside on the right. Run out and deal with them. Then move forward to the drop-off and shoot another bad guy (33) below on the right. (screenshots)

Now you're headed for the pool at the bottom of the cavern. The quickest and coolest way down is to drive one of the snowmobiles over the edge. Lara will jump off as just before it hits the water. However, you do need to move the ice block a little farther into the cave to get the snowmobile inside. This will spawn the last 3 enemies, if you didn't already do so. (screenshots)

To climb down to the pool, walk to the right side of the cliff edge. Turn around, drop back, and grab the edge. Traverse all the way to the left wall then drop to the snowbank below. Lara will slide to a stop on the snowy ledge. The enemy (33) in the cave isn't carrying anything, so you needn't bother going over there. Instead take a carefully angled running jump off the corner of the ice ledge into the water. Or, turn around to face the cliff wall. Then safety drop from the left side of the ledge to the ice below. Head for the small, stone ledge in the opposite corner and follow the passageway there to the next level. (screenshots)

UPDATE HISTORY: Updates made prior to the Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered release, including credit for tips sent in by other players, are tracked in the archived classic guide.
8/1/26 - Remastered guide posted. Better late than never. :D

SHORTCUT TO THE HUT: The following shortcut bypasses the trek through the tunnels near the mountain lake. If you use it, you'll miss one kill, a vulture, and the first 7 icicle traps for the "Public Service" achievement/trophy. When you first emerge above the lake facing the HUT, turn around and safety drop to the slope below. Slide back and grab the edge but don't let go. Instead, traverse to the right and pull up. Turn around to face the water. Walk to the outer corner of the ledge. See the stone ledge with the large medi pack way down there across the lake? Aim just to the left of the highest point on that stone ledge. Hop back from the corner then take a running jump across the water to land there. Slide down and pick up the large medi pack (3). From there, jump over to the snowy ledge against the cliff wall. Then climb the white ledges to the top of the canyon and get ready to confront a couple of enemies above. Pick up the walkthrough at the section "HUT AND SNOWMOBILE." (screenshots)

OPEN AREA WITH RAMPS AND LEDGES (MOVING ICE BLOCKS): If you don't want the "Tibetan Express" achievement/trophy, or already have it, you can make things easier by moving one or both of the ice blocks before jumping the snowmobile into the tunnel. These screenshots show the sequence. Start by maneuvering the snowmobile onto the long, jagged ledge leading up to the tunnel opening (using the shortcut or longer route described above). Dismount and save the game. Now, before making the final run, head for the small opening to the left of the larger one with the ice blocks. You can reach it by climbing onto the nearby ramp then jumping into the opening. Draw the shotgun and follow the icy passageway to the wider tunnel behind the ice blocks. Shoot 2 snow leopards (9-10) that charge from the left. They can leap onto the ice blocks, so Lara won't be safe there. (Or, if you'd rather avoid the leopards, instead pull up into the into the opening just to the right of the ice blocks and avoid the narrow passageway beyond them on the left, since this is the trigger point for the leopards.) Now shift one or both ice blocks out of the opening and return to the snowmobile. Race forward along the jagged ledge, holding Action for a speed boost to clear the gap in the ledge, race up the ramp at the end, and sail into the tunnel opening. Pick up the main walkthrough at the section "CAVES AND NARROW ICE BRIDGE."

MISSING DRAWBRIDGE KEY: If you arrive at the frozen pool but are missing the DRAWBRIDGE KEY, you can backtrack for it on foot. Return through the low-ceilinged tunnel to the wide slope where you avoided the rolling snowballs earlier. Jump onto the slope above the ice ladder, slide back, and grab the edge. (screenshot) Climb down the ice ladder, get the key, and return via the canyon with the two ramps. (Refer to the "DRAWBRIDGE KEY" and "AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CANYON" sections above if necessary.) Since you don't have the snowmobile to get across the steep slope where the snowballs rolled, instead walk out onto the square ledge above the ice ladder and take a running jump to grab the square ledge on the other side of the ladder. (screenshot) Pull up. Then continue forward and left into the low-ceilinged tunnel, then back to the frozen pool and drawbridge.

‡NOTE ON VIDEO GUIDES: Eldin's videos don't always follow the same strategies I use in my walkthroughs, but if you prefer that format, I think you'll find them very helpful.

DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's official add-on/extension site.)
