Tibetan Foothills - Frozen Pool, Drawbridge, and Hut Key (Continued)

Tomb Raider II Remastered screenshot
After the avalanche you set off in the last section, HUT KEY (17) is sitting on the ground at the base of the huge snowbank. Save the game before approaching it.

When you do, a baddie on a snowmobile (22) with mounted guns enters through the opening between the drawbridge supports. Either shoot him while dodging like mad, or climb onto the snowbank to the right of the key and shoot at him from there.

Just be sure to stand toward the front of the snowbank where it comes to a little point.

He can drive over the snow behind Lara, and he can still shoot at her...

...but he'll almost never run her over.

Either way, you'll want to use powerful weapons, like the Uzis or M16, to kill him before he kills Lara.

Afterward, pick up the key and get on your original red snowmobile. The bad guy's ride is very cool with its guns and all, but it doesn't have the turbo feature.

If you're low on ammo, try this alternative strategy for the snowmobile enemy: Park the red snowmobile near the key, facing the exit. Then pick up the key, run to the snowmobile, and speed away before the nasty man can get a lock on Lara. Keep going, following the route in the next section, until you clear the big jump over the canyon.

He can't follow on his heavy machine.

NOTE: If you lose the red snowmobile and don't have a recent save where you still have it, you're not stuck. Just follow the "Tibet on Foot" guide from here.

DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's official add-on/extension site.)
