Archaeological Dig - Shortcut to the Puzzle Door

If you want the "Croft of the Blue" achievement/trophy, do not use this shortcut. Follow the main walkthrough instead.

After turning on the power and collecting the TWO ANCIENT SYMBOLS, as shown in the previous section, head back toward the level entrance. About halfway along the edge of the pit, there's a break in the fence with a short ladder below. Climb down onto the top level of scaffolding.

Turn to face out over the pit. Head to the left, but don't climb down down the next ladder

Instead, position Lara bout here. Save the game.

Then take a running jump over the railing to land on the rock ledge below the left end of the stone walkway.

If necessary, you can steer Lara in the air a little bit to avoid hitting the wooden platform and stick the landing.

Turn around and tase/shoot the guard (5) down below. (If he moves underneath the ledge and you can't get him, either reload and try again, ignore him, or wait for a better angle later on.)

Climb onto the small wooden platform and from there to the top of the stone walkway. Continue following the main walkthrough midway through the section "CLIMBING TO THE PUZZLE DOOR."
