DARK MODE?

Bartoli's Hideout - Inside the Villa (Ground Floor)

Tomb Raider II Remastered screenshot
After opening the front doors to Bartoli's villa, as shown in the last section, enter with weapons drawn. Two gun-toting thugs (9-10) greet you. One is on the balcony above on the right; the other emerges from behind the pillars. You can trigger them one at a time by advancing no farther than the open doors to spawn the enemy on the balcony. Deal with him.

Then move farther in to draw out the other.

Take the shotgun shells (3) from the one at ground level. You'll have a chance to search the other in a few minutes. Go to the blue-curtained windows on the left side of the room.

Shatter one with your pistols...

...then kill the 2 DobermansDobermen?—(11-12) that charge out.

Step through the window into a glass-ceilinged sunroom. Run to the right end to find a pile of goodies: a small medi pack, flares, and automatic pistol clips (4-6). (If you didn't pick up the AUTOMATIC PISTOLS in the previous level, you'll get them here instead of ammo.)

Return through the broken window and turn left. Several mechanical guards with hacking swords block your way. To get past them with little or no damage, stand close to the first sword but not too close.

Then run past as it rises. Repeat for the other two.

Flip the switch in the brick-walled room at the end of the corridor...

Now, return past the statues, which are no longer active, to the ENTRANCE HALL.

DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's official add-on/extension site.)
