This guide focuses on revisiting the level after completing it. If you are playing through for the first time, you may want to follow the main walkthrough instead to avoid possible spoilers. Challenge: Raise the Flags

This challenge involves hoisting 5 flags around the mission. If you have the Owl's Wisdom skill, the flagpoles will glow in Survival Instinct, making them easier to spot. They're also noted in red type in the main walkthrough and marked with red dots on the annotated level map. (Note that there are also a few decorative flagpoles that can't be interacted with and are not part of the challenge.)

FLAGPOLE 1

The first flagpole is near the spot where the NPCs Sara and Guillermo are standing, a short distance northwest of the Riverside Base Camp and southeast of the main courtyard. (Click image for more and larger screenshots.)

FLAGPOLE 2

The second flagpole is next to the Mission Gate Base Camp, so you can easily fast travel there to raise the flag. (Click screenshot to enlarge.)

FLAGPOLE 3

The next flagpole is near the entrance to the schoolroom on the northwest side of the mission. Start at the Mission Gate Base Camp. Go up the steps into the courtyard and straight on past the merchant's stall. Continue forward and left (north) past the shrine and document #3. There's another decorative flagpole to the left of the shrine. This is not the pole you're looking for. Just beyond the shrine, turn left and you'll spot the flagpole at the top of the stairs. FLAGPOLE 4

This flagpole is near the gate at the northwest corner of the Mission. From the Mission Gate Base Camp, go through the main courtyard, past the merchant's stall, and on toward the white archway. Just before the archway, turn left and head up the dirt road. The road dead ends at a closed wooden gate. The flagpole is here. (Click image for more and larger screenshots.)

FLAGPOLE 5

The last flagpole is just southwest of the Ruined Tower Base Camp, on the same side of the rushing river as the campfire. (Click screenshot to enlarge.)
