Stella's Tomb Raider 2013 Walkthrough - For Windows, Macintosh, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One

NOTE: Combat strategy is based on the Medium difficulty setting, so your experience may vary slightly. In addition to the walkthroughs for each level, there are separate pages for Controls & Gameplay Tips, Skill & Weapon Upgrades, and Collectible Items.

SAVING AND CHECKPOINTS: Like the last several games, TOMB RAIDER uses autosave checkpoints. Whenever you pass a checkpoint, the game is saved automatically. Then, if Lara dies or you quit the game and restart, the game reloads at the last checkpoint. If you only rely on one autosave, you may run into trouble if you get stuck in the game, encounter a bug, or if your autosave file becomes corrupted. To avoid problems, I highly recommend changing your save slot at least once each level. You may also want to periodically back up your autosaves on a memory card (consoles) or into a separate folder (PC). See the controls page for details.

GUILTY CONSCIENCE (continued)

After sliding down the slope from the Mountain Village, you find yourself in a new level, but the goal remains the same.

OBJECTIVE: Locate the Second Pilot

Crack open the salvage crate on the altar on the left. Then continue along the path leading through the narrow canyon. As you go, Lara touches base with Alex by radio. He says they're still looking for Sam and have tracked her to an old Japanese palace.

A bit farther along the path there's an edible plant on the left and another salvage crate. There are also rabbits you can hunt and loot for XP and salvage. Go through the doorway near the statue to find the Arid Canyon Day Camp.

After a rest, you can hunt some rats if you like. It's dark in here and Lara wants to keep her torch lit. So in order to use your bow, you need to step out into the light, put away the torch, draw the bow and keep the Aim button pressed as you re-enter the cave. Then use Survival Instinct to spot the rats in the dark, provided you bought the Animal Instinct upgrade earlier.

Follow the circular path around the inside of the cave to find 2 salvage crates and a food cache. Then continue along the passageway to the northeast. (Check your map if you get disoriented in the dark.) When the cave widens, Lara notices and comments on the statues along the walls. In this room, you'll find 2 more salvage crates along the left wall. Smash them and continue up the steps toward the cave exit. Again, Lara interprets the carvings: a pilgrimage...a queen, possibly Himiko.

When you emerge into the light there are more rats and birds to hunt if you're in the mood.

Lara spots Captain Jessop sitting at the end of a bridge on the other side of a windy chasm. As you approach him, the Solarii toss several containers of gunpowder onto the bridge and detonate them with flaming arrows. Lara is knocked back but manages to stay conscious as Mathias emerges from the building and orders his followers to kill her. Before they can do so, several armored Japanese warriors, including a huge one with a club, appear and attack the Solarii. As the Oni warriors decimate the Solarii, Lara passes out.
