The Deck - Sixth "Fire Safety" Encounter and Secret #2 (Gold Dragon)
In the last section, we made our way to the front of the TOP DECK and are now overlooking the swimming pool on the UPPER-MIDDLE DECK. An ambush awaits Lara below: 2 thugs with wrenches (18-19), a guy with a flamethrower (20) (6/9 for the "Fire Safety" achievement/trophy), plus a barracuda (21) and a scuba diver (22) in the pool. If you're careful, you can deal with them one at a time.
Begin by hanging from the edge above the pool to spawn the enemies, but don't let go. Quickly pull up...
...move away from the edge, and turn so the pool is on Lara's right. Now you can target the wrench guys (18-19) as they climb up to your level, and the flames can't reach you. When they're both dead, save the game. Then move cautiously to the edge.
If you don't care about the achievement/trophy, just shoot the flamethrower from above. Then climb down where the wrench guys came up.
- OR -
If you are working on "Fire Safety," hang above the pool. (Take care to avoid the left corner, near the tiled door, since this is where the scuba diver (22) will emerge, and you already have enough to deal with.) Wait for the flamethrower to set Lara on fire, then drop into the pool. Swim to whichever edge is farthest from the flamethrower (20), climb out of the water...
...and kill him quickly.
Reload if you like. Or, if you didn't lose too much health, just switch to pistols and kill the barracuda (21) in the water.
Now stand at the edge of the pool just above the tiled door in the corner. If you jump over the corner of the pool just above the door, it opens.
Roll and shoot the scuba diver (22) who emerges.
Then swim into the alcove he came from to find SECRET #2, the Gold Dragon (18).
Before moving on, give a prayer of thanks that you don't work for Marco Bartoli guarding a statue in a swimming pool at the bottom of the ocean. Then locate some Uzi clips (19) at the back left corner of the deck, when facing the pool and TOP DECK...
...plus 2 sets of M16 clips (20-21) behind a movable crate on the right side of the deck.
(There's no need to move the crate to reach them.)
