Step forward, smash the vase on the ledge in the in the background to obtain a SAPPHIRE (1/32), and then continue through the doorway.

In the next room, break another vase, which is partly hidden behind the yellow fungi, and collect another SAPPHIRE (2/32).

Now we meet another new enemy: the giant spider. These creatures move back and forth in a straight line. They only turn around when they reach a dead end, and they don't move laterally. So as long as Lara doesn't pass directly in front of them, they can't hurt her. To get past the first spider, move forward, then back, then forward again. Using three turns this way causes the spider to move off to the left.

Now move forward twice more to hang from the edge of the ledge. The spider turns around and moves back to the right, but by the time it reaches Lara, she's out of the way.

Drop down onto the path below and smash the vase hidden in the little cave in the background to obtain a fragment of the THE FROZEN SPIDER relic (1/12).

The next giant spider is is positioned with its side facing Lara, so you only need to move forward to kill it with your pistols.

Move to the left and then climb down the wall to the room below.

Move to the right twice to grab the SPEAR. Remember, the giant spider can only move back and forth along its left-to-right track. So Lara is safe as long as she stays out of its way.

Move back to the left two spaces. From here you can use the spear to kill the snake on the other side of the room.

Step back to the upper right once, then move toward the lever. As you go, the spider moves to the right, turns around, and moves back toward you.

Pull the lever to slide the light-colored tile to the right.

Now step to the lower left, then back toward the lever. During these two turns, the spider moves left onto the light-colored tile.

Pull the lever again to shift the tile back to the left, trapping the spider on the other side of the pit.

Now you can move safely to the edge of the ledge, climb down to the doorway below, and go through.

In the next area, smash another vase to get a SAPPHIRE (3/32).

There are 2 giant spiders below. One moves up and down the right side of the wall. The other goes back and forth along the floor. Hang from the edge. Climb down once, then right, then down again. As you go, the first spider moves down to the bottom of the wall.

Climb left, down, then right. As you do this, the spider moves up to the top of its path.

Climb down, then left toward the lever. Don't use the lever yet, though. Instead climb left again. As you go, the second spider moves all the way to the right.

Move back and forth to the right, then left, then right again. The spider below moves onto the light-colored block on the left.

Now kick the lever to move the block to the left, trapping the spider on the other side of the gap.

NOTE: The light-colored block on the right also moves when you use the lever, so alternatively, you could trap the spider on that block.

Now you can climb to the right, drop down to the floor, and proceed to the exit.
