After using the gemstone, avoiding a lava bath, and killing the last lion and gladiator, as described in the previous section, Lara awakens another centurion statue.
Save the game as soon as the cutscene ends. You'll need to defeat the animated statue (9) (16/62) using only pistols and without taking damage if you want the "Feet of Clay" achievement/trophy.

This guy moves slowly and isn't too difficult to beat, but you still need to be careful. Each time the statue bangs his hammer, a shockwave emanates from it, and Lara will take damage if she's too close.
Of course, you can rush him like a badass and run/jump around him, plugging away with your pistols (or other weapons if you don't care about achievements) while avoiding the hammer blows. But if you want an easier way, try this:

Draw pistols and turn to face the statue as he stomps toward you.

As soon as Lara targets him, start firing and hop/flip away from him, back through the long room. He'll follow slowly, so there's no need to rush.

The goal is to draw him toward the hole in the floor.

Before he gets too close, side flip or run off the edge into the hole.

If he doesn't follow Lara to the hole, or gets stuck behind the nearest pillar, you'll need to climb back up, get his attention, then drop back down. (Or just back away from him a little more slowly at the start, so he remains fixated on Lara.)

Once he's standing above the opening, position Lara with her back against the wall and keep firing with pistols until the statue is destroyed.

Lara can still take shockwave damage down below, but this is more likely to happen if she jumps up and down while firing.

So remain standing on the block, out of the hammer's range, and don't overwrite your earlier save until you're sure you've succeeded. It takes a little while, and the camera angle is awkward, but you'll see the boss health bar gradually deplete.

When the big guy falls, the achievement/trophy should pop.

After the fight, return to the room where the statue originated.

Climb into the small, square doorway, which is now open.

Take COLOSSEUM KEY 2 (10) (79/239) from the pedestal.

Use it to unlock the second set of double doors, out in the main room.

Slide down the ramp, but don't take the stone yet.
DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's web store.)
