After you use the SECOND PERIAPT SHARD to wound Eckhardt, as shown in the previous section, he once again flies up to the ceiling and drops down outside the forcefield, and the final round begins.
The third phase of the fight will include six attacks, a random mix of electric energy waves and falling rocks. If you face Eckhardt, then backflip away to put some distance between him and Lara, you can watch him and react to whatever he unleashes.
For the blue waves, either turn perpendicular to the wave...
...and side flip over it as you did before.
Or, if you have room to maneuver, face the wave head-on, and take a running jump over it.
Then quickly jump/flip away and get ready for the next attack.
If he does the ground-pound maneuver...
...watch for the shadows on the floor and quickly move out of the way to avoid the falling rocks.
After the first two attacks, whichever form they take, Eckhardt will leap up again and drop down on the other side of the arena. So you'll need to run/jump forward...
...then roll to face him.
Now, evade four more attacks, just like we've practiced. He'll shift a little to the left between each of these attacks but remain on the same side of the arena.
After the sixth attack, Eckhardt will begin conjuring 3 electric doppelgängers. While he's doing this, move to the safe area on the wide metal band surrounding the grating, facing the center, with Lara's back to any of the three columns. If you haven't taken any damage, quick-save.
When all 3 doppelgängers are complete, they'll run to the center and fuse, just like before.
Wait for the arcing electricity to subside...
...then quickly run forward...
...and punch/kick Eckhardt one more time to finish him.
Defeating Eckhardt and his various clones counts as one official kill. The achievement/trophy "Shut Him Up" unlocks at the beginning of the next cutscene (detailed in the main walkthrough). If you managed to defeat Eckhardt without crouching, crawling, or taking damage, "Great Work" will unlock simultaneously.
You aren't finished yet, though. Karel and The Sleeper still need your attention.
DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's web store.)
