Escape with the Iris - Secret #2

After making your way through the service ducts, as shown in the previous section, you (hopefully) saved the game near this crawlspace at the bottom of the long chute. There's a security guard patrolling the hallway ahead. To avoid the minor bug noted below, as soon as the guard passes to the right...

...crawl out...

...and run/sprint past him to the end of the hall.

NOTE: I'm not sure how the ground floor is also the 88th floor, but we'll just chalk it up to #TombRaiderLogic.

Stand in front of the right panel of the glass aquarium (on the end wall near the Fizwiz machine) and draw the guard's fire to shatter the glass.

The shallow depression at the back of tank contains a golden rose (14) (212/239) (SECRET #2, 32/36). Grab it quickly.

Then roll and run around the corner (in either direction)...

Fortunately the guard loses interest in Lara as soon as she's out of sight. (He'll never quite get over the loss of that rose, though. It's probably coming out of his paycheck.)

BUG NOTE: Rather than patrolling back and forth, this guard can get stuck in the glass wall of the aquarium if you wait too long in the crawlspace. If this happens, you can reload and try again, or crawl out, wait for him to notice Lara and move toward her, then run past him and draw his fire toward the aquarium. Lara will take more damage this way, but at least you can continue.

DARK MODE: I plan to add optional dark mode for these pages, but my current priority is updating the walkthroughs. Meanwhile, may I suggest a reputable dark mode browser extension, such as Dark Reader? (Download only from trusted sites, like darkreader.org or your browser's web store.)
