Barkhang Monastery - Using the Ladder to Enter the Monastery
After unlocking the achievement/trophy "An Unexpected Visit," as shown in the last section, you can go back and spawn the 2 crows (4-5) you would otherwise miss. There is no reward for all kills, so this is entirely optional. You can also choose the ladder route if you don't care about achievements or already have this one.
Drop to the ground...
...and return to the base of the ladder. Climb up...
...and kill one crow (4) in the little alcove at the top.
Turn around and jump onto the small ledge above and to the right of the ladder. Step to the edge and take a standing jump onto the slightly higher ledge opposite.
Hop down on the other side. Cross the long, gray ledge overlooking the monastery steps and jump over to the flat spot on the tan rock wall.
Turn around and shoot another bird (5) that approaches from the steps.
NOTE: If you didn't first climb up to the window for the achievement/trophy, a third crow will attack here. This is enemy #3 in the main walkthrough.
Position Lara as shown above and side flip onto the slope to her left. Slide back and grab the edge.
Let go and quickly grab the horizontal crevice below. Then traverse to the left, pull up, shoot out a window, and enter the building.
