After defeating the enemies in the courtyard beyond the burners, as shown in the previous section, climb the ladder and retrieve some M16 clips (21). (Watch out for the drop-off ahead. You'll explore below later.)

Return to the courtyard and pull the switch to open two of the trapdoors.

Drop into the room below, shoot the glass display case, and steal the 2 GEMSTONES (22-23).

Around the corner is another switch. Use it to open the third trapdoor then climb the ladder back to the courtyard.

Return up the steps and turn left...

...into a SMALL ROOM WITH A LARGE GOLDEN WHEEL. (In the OG version, this is a golden star.) Place one of the GEMSTONES in the receptacle on the opposite wall, between two animal statues, to shift the big wheel.

Enter and locate the movable box on the left. Pull it twice.

Then go behind it to find a SECOND PRAYER WHEEL (24).

Return past the burners, which are no longer lit...

...down the stairs...

...and through the room with the rolling blades.

Turn right and re-enter the MAIN HALL.

Cross to the far right corner near the base of the huge statue, go down the stairs, and turn right.

Follow the hallway to the first door on the right. You'll meet another monk (14) in this general area.
