Begin by having one player (in this case Lara) step on the pressure pad nearest the entrance. This retracts the spikes leading to the nearest pressure pad on the right so the other character can move onto it.
When Totec stands there, it retracts the spikes so Lara can move from the pad near the entrance to the one in the back left corner of the room.
When she stands there, some of the spikes near Totec's pad retract, so he can move onto the next pad, near the middle of the floor.
This retracts the spikes in the last row and opens the alcove so Lara can reach the Arrow of Tezcatlipoca Relic (Scatter Shot).
When she takes the relic, all the spikes retract so both characters can exit safely.
