Classic Tomb Raider NLNMAS Support

Attempting a No Loads, No Meds, All Secrets challenge is difficult enough when the game is running smoothly. It's crucial to do everything possible to prevent crashing and other issues. This page includes useful installers and patches to make each game work properly.

Tomb Raider I

Automated Fix for Tomb Raider I (Steam or GOG)

This fix enhances the game in various ways, improves soundtrack, graphics, and more. It also provides a custom launcher which allows you to choose between the basic game and Tomb Raider I Gold. You can choose custom resolutions and/or optional remastered cutscenes. More information about installation and content in the link.

Warning: Do not press Action when ending a level, as the game will crash!

Tomb Raider II

You can purchase the game on Steam or GOG. The setup allows you to choose launching details such as resolution. You may want to disable FMVs in the setup when playing NLNMAS for easier and smoother gameplay.

Widescreen Patch
This patch allows you to play the game in widescreen resolutions without distortion. You can choose the widescreen ratio upon installation. Works with Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft, Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation. (Chronicles includes widescreen support.)

Borderless Patch
This patch allows you to fix the border issue when playing Tomb Raider II in full screen. Works with Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider V: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Installing this patch may break the music of your game. If that happens to you, you can use the Music Fix below.

TR2 Music Fix
This download includes various audio and .dll files to fix the audio issue caused by using the Borderless Patch. (Download the .zip file using the link above and copy/paste the contents into your TR2 game directory.)

TR2 Low Ceiling Fix
If you're running a later version of the game, you will find that Lara can no longer side- or backflip beneath low ceilings. If this bothers you, you can replace your original files with these.

dgVoodoo Patch (Pick the latest stable version)
This patch allows you to run the game smoothly in fullscreen, with the FMVs, and comes with a full .exe and DLL files to paste into your install folder. It fixes some texture bugs in the PC version (Steam), invisible barbed wire, and blurry text in the menus. It takes some time and tweaking to adapt the patch to your game, and if patched incorrectly, the game will look worse! Do not give up. It most likely means you didn't choose the right options for you.

Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft

You can purchase the game on Steam or GOG. The setup allows you to choose launching details, such as resolution. It is not possible to disable FMVs for Tomb Raider III via the launcher. However, deleting the FMVs file from your installation folder will have the same effect, should you want to disable/remove them. (Do not forget to make a backup!) Since the FMVs have (usually) a different resolution than the game, removing them will help a lot with loading and prevent possible crashes.

No-Crystals Patch
As noted in the TR3 intro, since healing is not allowed, it helps to remove all health crystals to avoid accidentally using one. The patch also fix various bugs and adds an unused boss music fight track (Meteorite Cavern level). Full description of fixes in the link.

Widescreen Patch
This patch allows you to play the game in widescreen resolutions without distortion. You can choose the widescreen ratio upon installation. Also works with Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft, and Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation. (Chronicles includes widescreen support.)

This patch allows you to run the game smoothly in fullscreen, with the FMVs, and comes with a full .exe and DLL files to paste into your install folder. Paste the dgVoodoo exe and the three DLLs in MS folder into the main directory of your Tomb Raider installation folder.

Run the dgVoodoo .exe to access all the settings and adapt it to your needs (resolution, widescreen, ratio, watermarks, GPU, etc.).

(Works also with Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider V: Chronicles.)

Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation

When installing the game from Steam or GOG, you may experience lines in the inventory, or white inventory. This can be fixed by choosing 32 bits resolution and textures in the setup. To open the setup from Steam, right click your game, go to Properties, and click Setup Launch Options in General tab. Type "-setup" (without the quotation marks) in the window that opens and press OK. Once launching the game now, the setup will open instead. Delete -setup again to start the game normally after your edits.
