Once you've jumped the quad bike from the train to the opening across the pit, turn around and position the bike pointing diagonally up the rocky hill at the right side of the opening above the pit. The flaming barrel is behind Lara on the right. Run up the rocks, cutting sharply to the right at the top to land on the corner ledge below.

After getting the guns, carefully turn the bike around to face the opening you came from. Run up the rocky ledge and cut to the left to clear the peak. Then quickly turn right again to stop from crashing into the flaming barrel.
