Here's where to start when you make your ascent into the ice pit. The red arrow shows the direction to take the running jump.
For method "A" angle Lara just a little to left of the joint in the textures of the snow wall. Take a running jump. . .
. . . and immediately press Roll to somersault in the air and land on the inside rim of the pit facing uphill.
Hold the Action button as Lara slides to catch onto the ledge below. (On the way she'll slide past one edge she can't grab.) Once Lara has a hand-hold, traverse to the left corner and let go. . .
. . . to land on the slightly higher corner of the ice block below. Lara loses about 90% of her health in the drop. If you don't start with full health and traverse to the corner before dropping, she'll die.
Pick up the goodies anc climb out using the ice ladder shown above.
