Stella's Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness Walkthrough - Windows, Mac & PlayStation 2

LEVEL 7: ST. AICARD'S GRAVEYARD

Updated: 1/16/07()

Items: 4 or 5 health items, 1 treasure (depending on path)
Weapons & Ammo: 3 ammo items
Enemies: guard dogs
Upgrades: Upper Body

BOUCHARD'S DOORMAN: If you enter this level through the gate on the Rue Dominique guarded by Bouchard's doorman, you come in at ground level, through the wooden door at one end of the L-shaped area. Skip down to the GROUND LEVEL/TOMBS section.

FRANCINE'S APARTMENT/ROOFTOPS: If you enter this level through Francine's apartment, you must speak to her first.

Dialogue - Francine: She says Bouchard's hideout is located in the church basement, which you can get to through one of the mausoleums. Her apartment overlooks the graveyard. So you can exit via her balcony, but she warns you to be careful on the dangerous ledges.

You can steal a sports watch and health pills from the china cabinet if you're feeling unscrupulous. (The health may come in handy, but you'll have no way of pawning the sports watch now, since you can't leave the way you came in.)

Exit through the balcony door. Jump to the ledge on the right. Vault over the low railing and climb the pipe to the roof. Traverse to the right and pull up. Jump over the crumbling section of ledge ahead. Jump forward or run across the next crumbling ledge to the corner. (Or, run across the crumbling sections without hesitating.) Hang and traverse to the right to the ledge below the red wire. There's a drainpipe beyond the ledge that leads down to the courtyard below, but you'll need a strength upgrade to get the pick-up there. So don't climb down yet.

Stand beneath the red wire and jump up to grab it. Traverse across the courtyard and drop onto the ledge. (If Lara won't immediately traverse forward, try pulling her legs up using the Duck button.) Follow the ledge around to the end and safety drop onto the mausoleum roof below. Drop down and follow the path back toward Francine's building and the big wooden door. (This is where you enter if you come past the doorman.)

GROUND LEVEL/TOMBS: Pick up a small medipack behind some shrubs to the right of the wooden door (when facing it). Follow the path to the other end of the graveyard (i.e., first to the bend and then on to the right). There's a guard dog near the end of the path. Kill it and then go behind the tombs on the right to find some bandages.

Return to the bend in the path. Here, there are two tall mausoleums opposite each other, one on each side of the path. Lara can't reach the tops of these, but she can climb onto the smaller tomb next to one of the tall ones and jump from there to the taller one. Then, from the top of the first tall mausoleum, take a running jump across the path to the top of the other. Drop down into the fenced-in area with the tombs and angel statue. Here you'll find a locked tomb with a cross decorating the door. Bust down the door of the tomb for an upper-body strength upgrade. Pick up a Desert Ranger clip inside. (Getting from the path to the upgrade is illustrated in this series of screenshots.)

If you don't care about getting all pick-ups, you can skip right to the LEVEL EXIT. If you want it all, continue below.

Climb on top of the tomb where you got the upgrade and jump back across the fence to the nearest tall tomb. Walk to the back edge and jump to grab the vine-covered ledge. Pull up. Activate walk mode and move to the left to get a chocolate bar. Continue to the left end of the ledge and take a standing jump down on top of the fenced-in mausoleum in the corner. (This sequence is also shown in a set of screenshots.)

Drop to the ground and break down the door of the mausoleum, which also happens to be decorated with a cross. (If you haven't already received the upper-body strength upgrade, above, Lara will tell you she's not strong enough to do this yet.) Enter and pick up a Desert Ranger clip and bandages. To get out, climb on top of the mausoleum. Turn so Lara faces out over the door and jump across the fence to the next tomb. Drop down to the ground.

OVER THE WALL INTO THE COURTYARD: Follow the path back toward the wooden door. Another guard dog has appeared here. Kill it. Then climb on top of the crypt with the filigree door near the wall separating the graveyard from Francine's courtyard. Once on top of the crypt, save your game. You'll need to make a tricky jump over the wall into the courtyard. If the jump is even a little short, she won't clear the wall and will either land back inside the graveyard or on top of the deadly spikes. (It may help to refer to this series of screenshots.) Position Lara at an angle, with one foot at the edge of the roof, near the middle, and one shoulder pointing toward the corner of the wall. Side flip to clear the wall and land in the grungy courtyard beyond.

Once inside the courtyard, break down the wooden door. (If you haven't already gotten the strength upgrade, Lara won't be able to do this.) Get the box of V-packer shells and return to the courtyard. Climb the drainpipe to the ledge above on the left. Grab the red wire and traverse across the courtyard. (You'll have done this before if you came in through Francine's apartment.) Drop onto the ledge and follow it to the other end. From there, drop back down into the graveyard.

Return to the bend in the path and once more climb onto the smaller mausoleum next to the tall one. (Check the screenshots if you need a reminder.) Jump across the path to the other tall mausoleum and from there into the enclosure with the angel statue.

LEVEL EXIT: Climb up behind the angel statue (as shown in this screenshot) and push it over to open the way into the tunnels. (You'll need the upper-body strength upgrade to do this as well.) Drop into the hole to enter the next level.
