River Ganges Detail - Jumping Across the River and Back

This screenshot shows the approximate angle for the jump from the green cave to the opposite bank. The opening to the WATERFALL is behind Lara. Set up the running jump so she takes off as close to the wall of the opening as possible and lands at the outside corner of the root that juts out into the river. (This is the path marked with the pink arrow in the diagram on the main walkthrough page.)

This screenshot shows the approximate angle for the jump back. Set up the running jump so Lara begins close to the back left corner of the ledge and takes off as close to the corner of the wall as possible.

While in the air, press the Right direction key so Lara pivots and lands on the ledge, rather than on the slippery slope to the left of the opening. (This is the path marked with the yellow arrow in the diagram on the main walkthrough page.) It may take several tries but it can be done.
