In addition to the optional Challenge Tombs, there are 5 Crypts to explore. These are smaller, less challenging tombs with a reward at the end. Each of the first four crypts contains one part of the ANCIENT BOW, GRIM WHISPER. The fifth contains the ANCIENT QUIVER.

THE ASTRONOMER'S CRYPT

The crypt belonging to Kokkos, The Astronomer, one of the founders of Kitezh, is in the Soviet Installation just below the Installation Vista Base Camp. Fast travel there, slide down the zip line, and look for the crypt entrance on the right side of the path leading down toward the train yard. See the walkthrough and level map for details. THE FORGE'S CRYPT

The crypt of Damien, The Prophet's Forge, is in the Soviet Installation, just north of the Logging Camp Base Camp on the other side of the broken bridge shown here. You can also reach it by climbing down from the Hidden Refuge Base Camp. I cover it after returning from the Gulag, but you can explore it before or after that. The map and walkthrough have details. THE ARCHITECT'S CRYPT

The crypt of Rivkah, The Architect, is in the northwest corner of the Geothermal Valley, behind the waterfall. Getting inside is a little tricky. You need to drop down from above and jump across the ledges to the waterfall. Check the walkthrough and level map for details. (Click screenshot to enlarge.)

THE PHYSICIAN'S CRYPT

The crypt belonging to Aurora, The Physician, is at the south end of the Geothermal Valley. Start at the Ruins Encampment Base Camp, head up the hill past the ruins, and follow the cliff above the water. You'll find the crypt entrance in the rock wall near some pine trees. THE TIMEKEEPER'S CRYPT

Valentinus, The Timekeeper, is interred in a crypt in the last level, the Lost City. In the main part of the city, on the west side, is a ruined building with a flooded area below it.
