Katie's Tomb Raider Work: Short Film

In January of 2006 I made a short Tomb Raider film. I was in my last year of my Interactive Multimedia Developer diploma program and was given the assignment of making a video that incorporated 3D. We were given a 3D dinosaur to animate and add to our film, and I thought a Tomb Raider theme would be perfect.

Those of you who have seen the Tomb Raider Retrospective Documentary will have seen a short clip from it! Ever since the Documentary came out I've been getting loads of e-mails from people asking if I could post the movie. While I'm not willing to post the video, I would like to post screenshots from it. First, here are some 'fun facts' about the movie:

Date Created: January 2006
Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Mud Lake as well as other indoor locations)
Total Running Time: 3:05 (In minutes - it was only a school project, not a full-length movie!)
Outdoor Shots: -18 Celcius (0 Fahrenheit)
Real Hair? No, I definitely was wearing a wig (I get this question a lot) :)

When we shot the hallway scene with the glowstick, we had to practice a couple times before shooting. I only had one yellow glowstick so I couldn't re-do the scene!

These shots are from Mud Lake. That day we had to walk across a lake to get to where we were going to shoot. There was only two of us carrying all of the equipment. It was a bitterly -18 degrees Celcius (0 Fahrenheit) that day, and here I was running around in shorts and a tank top! To prepare I had my outfit on underneath my clothes. The hardest part was taking off all my winter clothes to get started! We didn't have any tent or place where I could get warm either, so it was quite a challenge to do!
